About Me

L'Oréal Blackett is a journalist, broadcaster, presenter and content creator based in the UK.

She was previously editor of Refinery29's Unbothered UK — one of Britain's most influential platforms for Black women —  where she earned a reputation for sharp cultural commentary, bold commissioning and storytelling that made people feel genuinely seen. Her bylines span Stylist, Cosmopolitan, Bustle, gal-dem, the Daily Mirror, WhoWhatWear UK and more. Her career also includes a long stint in broadcast journalism at BBC Radio Manchester and MediaCityUK.

On screen and on stage, she has hosted red carpet coverage at the MTV European Music Awards and the MOBO Awards, appeared on Sky News, and hosted events for brands including Roland Mouret, Selfridges, Bumble and Topshop — bringing the same editorial authority and natural warmth to live audiences as she does to the page.

Now freelance, she writes about culture, identity, entertainment, women's health and the messy, exhilarating reality of building a life on your own terms. She is also the creator of She's Classic — a BookTok series celebrating the books that shaped Black women's inner worlds, and the conversations that follow.

She is available for journalism commissions, brand partnerships and presenting work.
